Hiking trips

There are two places that commemorate Roey’s memory in nature:

The first is the “Roey Lookout” located in the town of Zichron Yaakov, in the southern part of the Carmel Ridge.

The second location is a charming corner in the moshav Even Shmuel.

During the fighting following the October 7 attack, the “Orev” team from the November ’16 cycle (Roey’s recruitment cycle) stayed in Even Shmuel when they occasionally left the fighting in Gaza. The residents took care of their food, laundry, lodging, and equipment.

As a token of gratitude for the residents’ great help, the reserve soldiers donated a special corner in the moshav in memory of Roey.
